Girls flag football took the field by storm this fall and Sequoia was proud to be one of 10 teams in the PAL offering girls the chance to play during the inaugural season. The Ravens hosted Aragon, Burlingame, Capuchino, Carlmont Hillsdale, Mills, San Mateo, Terra Nova, and Woodside during two home events and brought home a road victory versus Terra Nova at Aragon.
Each of the Sequoia players showed up to better themselves in a sport that most had never tried or had the chance to try. Per Coach Matthew Kelly, “The strength it took to go out on that field and be vulnerable to new tasks says a lot of the character we have at Sequoia! These girls deserve to be recognized now and into next season."
